Database Overview

Built for Business is a database suite containing two major modules: Sales and Purchasing. The suite was designed to help you manage your daily business activities from purchasing supplies and equipment to tracking sales and managing customer accounts. We built the database modules to provide you with the sophisticated data entry, managing, and reporting tools that your business needs, in what we hope you’ll find as a friendly and easy to use environment.

Built for Business is designed as a detailed transaction management tool for your daily business operations. It provides you with data entry, business forms and letters, and transaction and performance reports for three basic areas of your business operations. The following lists some of the features in each area of business:

Conventions Used In This Manual

Key elements of the database appear in small capitals, for example, MAIN MENU.
References to specific information appears in italics.
Important indicates critical information or instruction.
Note indicates additional information or technical notation.
Tip indicates a special tip or word of advice.

System Requirements

This database was designed for use with Lotus® Approach 97®. You must have the Lotus Approach® software in order to run this application.

Built for Business was tested on Pentium®, Pentium II & III®, and AMD Atholon® systems using Windows 95, 98 Me and Windows 2000 Professional® operating systems.
