Database Overview

Built for Business is a database suite containing two major modules: Sales and Purchasing. The suite was designed to help you manage your daily business activities from purchasing supplies and equipment to tracking sales and managing customer accounts. We built the database modules to provide you with the sophisticated data entry, managing, and reporting tools that your business needs, in what we hope you’ll find as a friendly and easy to use environment.

Built for Business is designed as a detailed transaction management tool for your daily business operations. It provides you with data entry, business forms and letters, and transaction and performance reports for three basic areas of your business operations. The following lists some of the features in each area of business:

1. Customer Orders

• Manage customer accounts
• Record customer orders
• Print Picking Slips, Packing Slips and Invoices
• Track orders in-progress
• Track finished and shipped orders
• View/print sales reports
• View/print order status reports
• View/print on-time delivery performance reports
• View/print aged account receivables
• Record customer payments on invoices
• Perform collection activities on overdue accounts

2. Purchasing

• Manage supplier accounts
• Record purchases
• Print Purchase Orders
• View/print supplier on-time delivery performance reports

3. Product Inventory

• Maintain a running inventory of your products
• Flag inventory reorder levels

System Requirements

This database was designed for use with Lotus® Approach 97®. You must have the Lotus Approach® software in order to run this application.

Built for Business was tested on Pentium®, Pentium II & III®, and AMD Atholon® systems using Windows 95, 98 Me and Windows 2000 Professional® operating systems.
