    Thinking of using a trademark?

Using a trademark for your product can be an extremely valuable marketing tool for your business.

A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol, logo, graphic, picture, or combination of the above that distinguishes the goods of a particular person, organization or business from those of others in the marketplace.

A trademark can help promote the identity of your business by associating the product you sell with your business. When you see the "golden arches" you think of McDonalds, when someone asks you for a coke you think of Coca Cola, when you see the four colored little windows flag you think of Microsoft... The list can go on and on.

If you have a business that sells a product, then you too should consider the benefits of using a trademark for your products. And for those of you who are in a service industry, you can also register a trademark (properly called a service mark in the U.S.) for your service.
